God is…

GOD…is beautiful!
GOD is powerful!
GOD is mighty!
GOD is omni- present!
GOD is gracious!
GOD is your provider!
GOD is your deliverer!
GOD is your redeemer!

God is restoring, renewing and refreshing his people. During my prayer time those were the words that he spoke..very clearly! The enemy will come and the enemy will try to knock you off of the course that God has for you, but the enemy WILL not win! The enemy has already been defeated!

God has overcome the things of the world by his BLOOD!

He sent his only begotten son, JESUS, to die a sacrificial death and by his wounds, stripes and blood we are healed, delivered, set free, and victorious!!! (John 3:16 & Isaiah 53:5)

God is all that you will ever need!

Your Praise Will Always Be On My Lips..

Hw often do you spend time Praising God outside of Church on Sunday?

Have you ever really made him truly the Lord of your life?

PSALM 150:2PRAISE HIM FOR HIS MIGHTY DEEDS; PRASIE HIM ACCORDING TO HIS EXCELLENT GREATNESS!

God is mighty and his goodness reigns over us on more days than just  Sunday. God’s love never fails, never stops, and never pushes us away. His glory and power dwell among us even when we do not see him working or moving; I guarantee that he is there moving mountains in your name!

Praise to him should be a daily thing. We should start our day and finish our day giving God thanks. There are several ways in which you can give PRAISE back to God for all that her has done for you.

His praise should continually be in your mouth!

1. PRAISE HIM WITH YOUR WORDS!

2. PRAISE HIM WITH SINGING!

3. PRAISE HIM WITH DANCING!

4. PRAISE HIM WITH WEEPING!

5. PRAISE HIM WITH YOUR HANDS LIFTED HIGH!

6. PRAISE HIM WITH CLAPPING!

7. PRAISE HIM WITH AN INSTRUMENT!

8. PRAISE HIM WITH OTHER BELIEVERS!

GOD will never let go of you..no matter what you are going through. He is the calm to every storm.

God woke you up this morning…give him PRAISE!

God blessed you with the air in your lungs..give him PRAISE!

God loved you when you were unlovable..give him PRAISE!

God is for you and not against you..give him PRAISE!

God is the only reason that I am here today writing this post. If it was not for his constant love, mercy and grace…this old sinner would have given up a long time ago. The truth is..God has a plan and a purpose for each of us and once I truly understood that..my life changed. God has opened my eyes and helped me to see him through a whole new lens.

I will not stop telling others about the goodness of God!

I will not stop sharing the love of Christ with everyone that I meet!

I will not allow the enemy to muzzle my voice..because greater is he that is in me, than he that is in this world!

God has never lead me astray..and I will follow him wherever he leads me.

That is why I will praise him with everything that I have within me…no TURNING BACK!

“YOUR PRAISE WILL ALWAYS BE ON MY LIPS!”

We All Have Dirty Shoes..

Your shoes know where you go, your shoes know where you have been, and your shoes walk along different paths each and every day. Even when you do not know where you are going, your shoes take you there. Sometimes our shoes become scuffed, torn, shattered, full of holes, dirty, muddy and even wet in the rain. One thing for sure is that..

WE ALL HAVE DIRTY SHOES..

What do you normally do when your shoes become dirty, worn out or faded?

You either clean them up, shine them with polish making them seem brand new or you go to the store and buy new ones.

Our Christian walk is a whole lot like shoes. God knows where you go, where you have been and he walks along the side of you down each and every path.

There are times that we get dirty, worn out and faded during our Christian walk. There are times when we try to clean our act up, polish ourselves and make ourselves seem like we are changing things, and there are times that we truly make a change and become a whole new creation in God.

SOUND FAMILIAR?

There is nobody on this planet that has a crystal clear perfect life. They may seem to you and I that their life is perfect, but I am here to tell you that their life is truly no different than yours or mine. We all have trials, pain, hurt, fears, and struggles. With these battles in our lives we tend to become shattered, scuffed, broken, worn, and faded.

SOUNDS A LOT LIKE OUR SHOES!

We all need a savior to wash our “shoes” clean and guide us along the right path.

NOBODY HAS CLEAN SHOES!

What I mean by that is that we all have sin in or lives. Just like shoes that walk down the wrong path and get dirt, grim and even gum stuck to the bottom of their soles. Our souls also get muddy..disgusting…and even get things attached that we do not want nor need.

So it matters where you shoes have been and it matters what path you are walking down…

God is the only one that can take our old rugged, worn out souls and give us a new life with him. He washes all of our sins away and makes us a new creation. Allow him to take your shoes and wash them clean..

Do your shoes need a good hard cleaning today?

Are you tired of walking down the wrong road?

Are you weary and heavy burdened by the path that you have chosen?

The good news is that God is always a present help in the time of need. He WILL never leave you, he will never turn his back on you, and will never stop loving you no matter how dirty your soul becomes.

WHAT CAN WASH AWAY OUR SINS…

NOTHING BUT THE BLOOD OF JESUS…

God’s Promises For Everyday: LOVE

God has made promises to each of us and his number one promise to us is: LOVE.

God will love at all times!

God will never leave you or forsake you!

God will wrap his loving arms around you in the midst of the darkest night!

God will never STOP loving you!

5 Scriptures to prove God’s promises everyday to love us…

  1. ROMANS 5:8BUT GOD SHOWS HIS GREAT LOVE FOR US IN THIS WAY. CHRIST DIED FOR US WHILE WE WERE STILL SINNERS.
  2. 1 JOHN 4:16-19– AND SO WE KNOW THE LOVE THAT GOD HAS FOR US, AND WE TRUST THAT LOVE. GOD IS LOVE. THOSE WHO LIVE IN LOVE LIVE IN GOD, AND GOD LIVES IN THEM. WE LOVE BECAUSE HE FIRST LOVED US.
  3. PROVERBS 8:17I LOVE THOSE WHO LOVE ME, AND THOSE WHO SEEK ME FIND ME.
  4. JOHN 3:16-GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, SO THAT WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM MAY BE LOST, BUT WILL HAVE ETERNAL LIFE.
  5. JEREMIAH 31:3-AND FROM FAR AWAY THE LORD APPEARED TO HIS PEOPLE AND SAID, “I LOVE YOU PEOPLE WITH A LOVE THAT WILL LAST FOREVER. THAT IS WHY I HAVE CONTINUED SHOWING YOU KINDNESS.”

GOD LOVES YOU NO MATTER WHERE YOU HAVE BEEN OR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE. COME TO HIM TODAY AND ALLOW HIM TO LOVE YOU….

Are You Thirsty?

John 4:14 (NIV)

1but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

ARE YOU THIRSTY TODAY?

How many times have you felt “thirsty?” I am sure that throughout your life this feeling has been felt many times. During times of thirst do you always make the healthiest choice and grab good ole’ water to quench your thirst or do you reach for something a little more on the unhealthy side?

We all know that there have been times that we have not made the best decisions, after all we are all human. But if we are selective on what we choose to quench our thirst not only will it change us physically but also spiritually as well.

Just as we tend to become “thirstyphysically, we also begin to feel “thirstyspiritually and what you choose to quench your thirst with truly matters.

When we are thirsty for attention or affirmations, we will look for our needs to be met by the first individual that shows us any kind of response to our need. But once that person has satisfied that need, we tend to thirst for more and then we create a vicious cycle that gets us nowhere fast.

Am I right?

Once we look inside of ourselves and realize that we have been running in this vicious circle, seeking a refreshment that has in all actuality dehydrated us and dried our souls up, we then look up to God to quench our thirst.

BUT WHY IS GOD ALWAYS OUR LAST RESORT?

JUST LIKE THE BEST THING FOR OUR BODIES TO HAVE IS WATER, BUT FOR SOME REASON WE TEND TO MAKE THE UNHEALTHY CHOICE AND THEN WE WONDER WHY WE PHYSICALLY FEEL SO DRAINED!!!

JESUS is the only one that can fulfill your every need and quench your thirst…

JESUS refreshes us and provides the satisfaction that we long for…

We have all made the wrong choice and have chosen things over what God has for us…

Sometimes those choices are made because of :

  • Lack of knowledge
  • Convenience
  •  The inability to believe that we are made to do hard things.

JESUS QUENCHES ALL THIRST!

The living water flows like a river and it will never run dry! This does not mean that you will never thirst again. It does however mean that when you do thirst, you will reach for the living water, Jesus Christ, to quench your thirst.

Have a blessed week!

The Moment Of Truth

As I sit here sipping my hot fresh cup of java, gazing out my back door window, looking, pondering, and dreaming, I see the beautiful array of snow covering every inch of the ground. I think to myself…..I am blessed

BLESSED BEYOND WORDS…

It is not just that I have a warm and cozy home to call my own, clothes on my back, food in my pantry, vehicles to get me from point A to B, money in the bank, a wonderful husband, two amazing kiddos, a dog that I love like one of my children, or that I have the best job in the world….the moment of truth is that above all of these many, many blessings, I have a father in heaven that loves me.

I have a father in heaven that calls me his own, that knows my name, that favors me, that speaks to me, that gives me the ability to see beyond myself…I am blessed because God is within me…I am blessed because he goes before me…I am blessed because he allows me to live this extraordinary life.

I AM BLESSED!

Does that mean that my life has been or is peachy? On the contrary to that belief, my life is not perfect; nor will it ever be. But I have PROMISES given to me by my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. And if I was the betting kind, my bet would be placed on him following through with his word.

HE WILL NEVER LET ME DOWN!

God will never leave me, forsake me, or steer me in the wrong direction. As long as I put my FAITH, HOPE, AND TRUST in him, I do not have to live chained to the things of this world.

See, my eyes are focused on God and God alone.

I am here to do Kingdom work- no matter the cost, no matter what I have to do, and no matter where I have to go. I am on God’s payroll and my payroll is priceless and set above anything else that this world can give me.

There is no amount of money that is worth it to me to live like the people of this world!

I am called to be SET APART!

I am called to LOVE like Jesus loves!

I am called to go into the deep waters and TRUST that my God will anchor me!

I am called to not ask questions, but to be OBEDIENT to what God tells me to do and to God’s word!

I am called to be God’s HANDS & FEET!

I am called to EQUIP others to follow God and the plans that he has made for them!

I am called to BUILD and not destroy!

I have a VISION

 I have WISDOM

I have DREAMS

I have GIFTS

I have TALENT

I am CALLED for such a time as this…

I have been CHOSEN for such a time as this…

Because at the end of the day, I answer to GOD…

So here is the moment of truth for you.

Do you count yourself…BLESSED?

Are you ready to give your all to JESUS?

Do you believe that he has a purpose & plan for your life? If not, please read Jeremiah 29:11.

My God will do exceedingly above anything that I could think or ask…..

My God is able to turn any situation around…

My God loves EVERYONE no matter where they have been or what they have done…..

It is time for you to start looking at your life through a different kind of lens.

We all fail, we all fall short and we all have things in our lives that we wish we could change.

We have all been hurt, we have all felt pain, and we all need God to make us whole again.

~CHALLENGE~

~Look at yourself in the mirror today….and say that you are BLESSED!

~Make the decision today to live how God wants you to live and stop trying to live like this world.

~Stop trying to please “PEOPLE” and decide today to strive to please “GOD.”

~Stop running from your calling because you feel unworthy, unloved and fearful.

GOD QUALIFIES YOU!!
YOUR WORTH IS FOUND IN GOD!
GOD LOVES YOU NO MATTER WHAT!!
GOD SAYS “DO NOT FEAR…FOR I AM WITH YOU!”

The Leviathan Spirit…

HAVE YOU EVER ENCOUNTERED LEVIATHAN?

Leviathan is yet another demonic spirit that is lurking in our world today. The Hebrew word for Leviathan is “livyathan” and this translation means “sea monster.”  Many believe that Leviathan could have been an extinct dinosaur and there are even theories that Leviathan was a whale,  shark, or a lizard.

All I know is that Leviathan was very real and its spirit is here trying to bring Christians down in our world today.

I have kind of made my own theory as to what Leviathan may have been…

It is told to us in scripture the exact description of this beast, known as Leviathan, and the attributes of this evil spirit remind me of a crocodile. I am not saying that this is what Leviathan was, I am only giving this example so you can too imagine just how dangerous it was. We are told that it was a sea creature that coiled and glided like a serpent, but if you dig deep into the word of God, you will find that early snakes or serpents also had legs. God cursed the serpent in the Garden of Eden and therefore, snakes now slither on their bellies…

blog_snake_fossil_feet

Genesis 3:14 (NIV)

14 So the Lord God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this,

“Cursed are you above all livestock
    and all wild animals!
You will crawl on your belly
    and you will eat dust
all the days of your life.

Crocodiles will coil themselves against prey, glide on top of the water and also are able to attack in water and on land. They are very dangerous reptiles…

Now, like I said, this is what I think of when someone says “LEVIATHAN,” you can draw your own conclusions on what kind of beast you feel that it may have been. The important thing is to know the characteristics of the beast that is trying to coil up next to you, your friends, your family members and those that you love.

PRIDE

ARROGANCE

HAUGHTINESS

SELF-EXALTATION

HARDENED HEART

REBELLIOUS SPIRIT

THESE ARE ALL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE LEVIATHAN SPIRIT

There are several scriptures in which you can read about Leviathan in the Holy Bible.

  • Job 40:12(NIV)- look at all who are proud and humble them,    crush the wicked where they stand.

Job 41 (NIV)

41 “Can you pull in Leviathan with a fishhook or tie down its tongue with a rope? Can you put a cord through its nose or pierce its jaw with a hook? Will it keep begging you for mercy? Will it speak to you with gentle words? Will it make an agreement with you for you to take it as your slave for life? Can you make a pet of it like a bird or put it on a leash for the young women in your house? Will traders barter for it? Will they divide it up among the merchants? Can you fill its hide with harpoons or its head with fishing spears? If you lay a hand on it, you will remember the struggle and never do it again!Any hope of subduing it is false; the mere sight of it is overpowering.10 No one is fierce enough to rouse it. Who then is able to stand against me?11 Who has a claim against me that I must pay? Everything under heaven belongs to me.

12 “I will not fail to speak of Leviathan’s limbs, its strength and its graceful form.13 Who can strip off its outer coat? Who can penetrate its double coat of armor[b]?14 Who dares open the doors of its mouth,    ringed about with fearsome teeth?15 Its back has[c] rows of shields    tightly sealed together;16 each is so close to the next    that no air can pass between.17 They are joined fast to one another;    they cling together and cannot be parted.18 Its snorting throws out flashes of light;    its eyes are like the rays of dawn.19 Flames stream from its mouth;    sparks of fire shoot out.20 Smoke pours from its nostrils    as from a boiling pot over burning reeds.21 Its breath sets coals ablaze,    and flames dart from its mouth.22 Strength resides in its neck;    dismay goes before it.23 The folds of its flesh are tightly joined;    they are firm and immovable.24 Its chest is hard as rock,    hard as a lower millstone.25 When it rises up, the mighty are terrified;    they retreat before its thrashing.26 The sword that reaches it has no effect,    nor does the spear or the dart or the javelin.27 Iron it treats like straw    and bronze like rotten wood.28 Arrows do not make it flee;    slingstones are like chaff to it.29 A club seems to it but a piece of straw;    it laughs at the rattling of the lance.30 Its undersides are jagged potsherds,    leaving a trail in the mud like a threshing sledge.31 It makes the depths churn like a boiling caldron    and stirs up the sea like a pot of ointment.32 It leaves a glistening wake behind it;    one would think the deep had white hair.33 Nothing on earth is its equal—    a creature without fear.34 It looks down on all that are haughty;    it is king over all that are proud.”

The LEVIATHAN SPIRIT is a Holy Spirit blocker. If you are full of pride, then all of the other characteristics of leviathan trickle down from the root cause, which is the spirit of pride. Pride causes destruction and it is actually a curse upon yourself.

The Holy Spirit wants to work through you, but when you are arrogant, haughty, prideful, full of yourself and have the “I am better than everyone else” attitude, it blocks what the Holy Spirit wants to do in and through you.

As we have read in Job, Leviathan was bound by all of these characteristics through his scales. But do you think for a second that God was afraid?

HECK NO HE WASN’T!!

Leviathan may have been strong and ferocious, but nothing compares to our God!

Luke 11:22(NIV)

2But when someone stronger attacks and overpowers him, he takes away the armor in which the man trusted and divides up his plunder.

Leviathan is a strong spirit whose armor must be stripped off!

“THERE IS NOTHING TOO POWERFUL FOR OUR GOD!”

Every evil spirit has one agenda and that is to tear you down so far that you will eventually turn away from God. We all need to be praying for discernment of spirits! Discernment will allow you to detect when these evil spirits are around you or even in you. (Yes, you may even have to rebuke things from yourself. ) I know that some of this may sound crazy, so I urge you to not just take my word for it but read the word of God yourself.

The keys to removing these types of spirits are as follows :

  • PRAYER FOR DELIVERANCE
  • READING YOUR WORD
  • DISCERNING SPIRITS
  • WORSHIPPING GOD
  • SPEAKING AGAINST THESE SPIRITS WITH THE POWER & AUTHORITY GIVEN TO YOU BY GOD (Luke 10:19)
  • ALLOWING GOD TO SPEAK TO YOU &  GUIDE YOUR FOOTSTEPS

Proverbs 6:16-19(NIV)

16 There are six things the Lord hates,
seven that are detestable to him:
17         haughty eyes,
        a lying tongue,
        hands that shed innocent blood,
18         a heart that devises wicked schemes,
feet that are quick to rush into evil,
19         a false witness who pours out lies
and a person who stirs up conflict in the community.

BEWARE OF THE LEVIATHAN SPIRIT!

God is always speaking, you just have to be listening…..

The Spirit Of PYTHON….

HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF THE PYTHON SPIRIT?

I am terrified of snakes and it actually took me awhile to write this just because of the thought alone of a snake, especially a python, scares the daylights outta me! But I knew that God wanted me to get the word out about different kinds of spirits that are lurking around our world today.

The python is one of the largest non-venomous snakes in the world and physically it does not live near the USA, thank God, but unfortunately, it is used by the enemy in the spiritual realm. Just as the python in the physical world sneaks upon its prey, wraps itself around its prey, squeezes the air out of its lungs, and then devours its prey whole, this is exactly what the spirit of python does as well.

THE SPIRIT OF PYTHON WILL:

  • Sneak upon you

  • Slither & Coil itself around you

  • Try to squeeze the Holy Spirit out of you (the breath of God)

  • Try to get you to stop praying, worshipping God, and fills your mind full of lies (Cuts off your communication with God)

  • Creates  within you worry, weariness, hopelessness, doubt, depression, suicidal thoughts, Bitterness, lack of focus, and the feeling that you are not loved by anyone

Spirits are very real! The spiritual realm is very real! There are good spirits (angels) & there are evil spirits (demons) fighting a constant battle.

Paul &  Silas were the two that encountered the python spirit head on and were thrown into prison. As you look below at the scripture in Acts, you will not see the word “python,” but “divination.” This word’s definition reads in the English standard,  occultic, witchcraft, the practice of seeking knowledge of the future or the unknown by supernatural means. But when you begin digging deeper and deeper into other translations, you will find that in the Greek, the word used is puthon; which translates into python.

Acts 16:16-40(KJV)

16 And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying:

17 The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the highest God, which shew unto us the way of salvation.

18 And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.

19 And when her masters saw that the hope of their gains was gone, they caught Paul and Silas, and drew them into the marketplace unto the rulers,

20 And brought them to the magistrates, saying, These men, being Jews, do exceedingly trouble our city,

21 And teach customs, which are not lawful for us to receive, neither to observe, being Romans.

22 And the multitude rose up together against them: and the magistrates rent off their clothes, and commanded to beat them.

23 And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast them into prison, charging the jailor to keep them safely:

24 Who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner prison, and made their feet fast in the stocks.

25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.

26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and everyone's bands were loosed.

27 And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword and would have killed himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled.

28 But Paul cried with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no harm: for we are all here.

29 Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas,

30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?

31 And they said, Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

32 And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.

33 And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their stripes; and was baptized, he and all his, straightway.

34 And when he had brought them into his house, he set meat before them, and rejoiced, believing in God with all his house.

35 And when it was the day, the magistrates sent the serjeants, saying, Let those men go.

36 And the keeper of the prison told this saying to Paul, The magistrates have sent to let you go: now therefore depart, and go in peace.

37 But Paul said unto them, They have beaten us openly uncondemned, being Romans, and have cast us into prison; and now do they thrust us out privily? nay verily; but let them come themselves and fetch us out.

38 And the serjeants told these words unto the magistrates: and they feared when they heard that they were Romans.

39 And they came and brought them, and brought them out, and desired them to depart out of the city.

40 And they went out of the prison, and entered into the house of Lydia: and when they had seen the brethren, they comforted them, and departed.

The enemy and his plans have not changed since the Garden Of Eden. Just as he deceived Adam and Eve, he is still deceiving many today.  He wants to use the spirit of python to get you to pull away from God and get you to the point of giving up.

See, the enemy knows the destiny that God has placed in your life. He knows your gifts, talents, and the power through God that you have inside of you. So if he slowly squeezes the breath of God out of you, gets you to stop praying, worshipping God and believing that God has a calling and plan for you, then you will eventually give up all hope.

Unless you decide to stand against this type of spirit, rebuke it, have it cast out so you can be delivered and recieve true freedom from it, you will continue to be bound by it.

God wants you to live an abundant life full of blessings. He does not want his children chained and living with these spirits upon them. The freedom that you so desire is very easy to receive. If you feel that you are bound by this awful spirit, seek out trusted people to pray for deliverance. You do not have to be living in sin to have this spirit upon you! It will come upon anybody.

The spirit of python does not want you to reach your potential because you threaten the devil with the gifts that God has given you…..

I will gladly pray for you if you feel as if the spirit of python is trying its best to devour you. Feel free to email me: keisha.russell84@gmail.com or leave a comment below. Have a blessed week.
