“5” sure ways to grow closer to your teenage daughter…

5 sure  ways to grow closer to your teenage daughter

I am not the picture perfect mother by any means and each day I make mistakes and I fail at this whole parenting gig. But one thing is for sure, I am not going to give up on trying my best to parent my kids the way God has called me to.

I have heard for years that you need to let your kids know that you are their “mother” and not their “friend.” But I see that these two things go hand in hand. My daughter knows that I am her mother and that what I say goes, but she also knows that I am here for her anytime, day or night, ready to talk with her about her needs.~

~A Mother daughter bond is a beautiful thing~

1. The very first way that you can grow closer to your teenage daughter is by sharing God with her. You should be the role model that she needs in order to succeed in this life.

~Pray for her, read the bible together, talk about spiritual gifts and callings.

She looks up to you, teach her the ways of the Lord!

2. Secondly, a very important way for you to grow closer to your daughter is for you to be open and honest with her. That means about all the things that most parents do not like to talk about.

Periods, sex, boys, feelings, emotions, relationships, how our bodies work, why we feel the way we do sometimes, etc..

You get the picture.

If you are open and honest, showing vulnerability about all of these things, your daughter will feel more comfortable asking you questions when she is curious, instead of asking classmates and friends.

YOU need to be the one to establish that trust in your relationship.

Once you have established that trust she will come to you about everything. So be prepared for anything this day and time. But at least it gets them talking and expressing how they feel about certain situations.

3. Share special moments with her.

My daughter and I absolutely love binge watching Gilmore Girls all snuggled up in the bed with a nice warm cup of coffee or hot tea.

This has become our “thing.” We will finish a series on Netflix and move to the next one.

~We laugh together, we cry together, my daughter is my little BFF.

4. Encourage her DAILY!!!

~I have written encouraging and uplifting scriptures and quotes all over my daughter’s bathroom mirror with a dry erase marker.

That way each day when she gets up she sees…

God loves you and so do I!

You are beautiful!

God is within you!

You have a hope and a future!

You are UNSTOPPABLE!

~Encourage them with notes, by speaking positive affirmations over them and write uplifting messages for them to see each day.

5. Last but certainly not least, your teenage daughter needs your support!

You need to support her in everything that she does, even if it is not the path that you may have imagined for your daughter.

If she likes sports, support her!

If she likes art, support her!

If she likes to express herself by drawing abstract art all over herself with markers, support her!

If she likes to express herself with wild and crazy hair colors, support her!

DO NOT DIM THE LIGHT THAT IS INSIDE OF HER!

~Support is everything to a child! They have dreams and ideas and if you support them those dreams and ideas will change the world somehow.

GOD MADE HER TO BE WHO SHE IS TO BE!

~Teach your daughter to be bold and to never change who she is because of other people.

I promise you that if you give these 5 things a try, you will see a major change in your mother/daughter relationship.

I know that I have….

10 ways to “GET FIT” PHYSICALLY & SPIRITUALLY

It is so very important to “get fit” physically & spiritually.

Just like motivating yourself to exercise, you also have to motivate yourself to read the Bible, am I right?

I believe that these two things actually go hand in hand together. Below I will be giving advice on how to start your day out with God’s word along with some daily workouts to help get you physically and spiritually buff.

Having a morning routine is something that you basically have to train yourself to do and how many of us have a hard time trying to stick to things without giving up or quitting?

We all lack motivation in some area of our lives. I have found that by changing my morning routine to involve exercise and devotional time, my days are filled with so much more positivity!

Not to mention my skinny jeans fit much better too, so it’s a win….win…..

First off I want you to clear your mind of “CAN’T!”

That word is actually a bad word in my home and to the class that I teach each week. You are capable of doing anything that you set your mind out to do.

YOU ARE YOUR OWN WORST ENEMY!

The only competition you truly have is yourself.  But with a bit of motivation, encouragement, and training, you will be amazed by what all you can do!

I know that we are all busy with our lives. As a wife and mother, I understand how hard it is at times to make any time for yourself. But you are important too! You will make an impact on your children when you decide to make healthier choices as well.  After all, they are always watching you.

They look to you as a role model for their own lives, so don’t you want them to be physically and spiritually fit too?

Get your kids and husband involved as well. Make it a fun family event reading God’s word and exercising together. My family does this every Saturday morning together. Now they usually hate me during the workout portion, my husband included, but once we are all finished they feel accomplished.

~MY OWN PERSONAL JOURNEY~

I have always been athletic, I grew up playing sports such as basketball and soccer, but after having my kids I kind of fell off the healthy bandwagon. I would try every “crash diet” I could and there for a while I would just lose and gain the same 15 lbs. over and over again.

It was frustrating and exhausting!

Seven years ago I was diagnosed with PCOS (Poly-cystic ovarian syndrome) and I had gained a whole lot of weight. It was uncontrollable weight gain that sent me into a downward spiral of emotions which lead to severe anxiety and depression. I sought out professional help with a nutritionist that steered me in the direction of making a healthy lifestyle change. I was put on a “low carb” diet, challenged to work-out daily and told to take several vitamins.

Image may contain: 2 people, people standing, shoes and outdoorThis was me…

I was at my highest weight of 177 lbs and I am 5’5. It is not easy for me to even share this part of me because it is not something I like to re-live. But I know that by sharing my journey, that hopefully it will help someone else.

I was hopeless, sad, depressed, and frustrated just to name a few of my emotions during this time. I decided to listen to my nutritionist and make the lifestyle changes that were necessary.

I knew that I could not do this alone so instead of reaching for the dumbbells at first, I opened my bible. I needed God’s word to help motivate me in the right direction. I will share with you how God not only transformed my body, but he transformed my spiritual being as well.

“10” WAYS TO “GET FIT” PHYSICALLY & SPIRITUALLY FREE PRINTABLE BELOW….

10 ways to get fit physically spiritually (1)

It took me a whole year to lose my weight. Yes, you read that right, a year! Slow and steady wins the race. After losing the weight I had to understand that the number on the scale did not matter. Having a much healthier physical and spiritual outlook on life changed everything. You have to make lifestyle changes that will last. You can not starve yourself, you can not skip breakfast and I am not a fan of magic pills, drinks, or shakes to make you healthy and fit. If you do use some of those products, I am not judging you at all..to each their own.  I just believe in good ole’ hard work and dedication!

You will have to make “diet” changes, but that does not mean try the first fad diet that you have read about online. Make simple changes such as drinking more water, cut out sugars, eat clean complex carbohydrates, watch portion control, eat frequently to build up your metabolism, add more veggies, add more protein, add-in fresh berries, make smoothies with fresh fruits, kale, and unsweetened almond milk.

You need to do whatever works best for you and take it a day at a time.

Image may contain: 4 people, people smilingTHIS IS ME NOW. I never thought in a million years that I could accomplish all that I have. I now absolutely LOVE running! It is a mental stress reliever for me and it gives me time to talk to God. I enjoy the breeze on my face and the agenda of having no agenda. I tie my laces on my running shoes, place my hair in a pony-tail and I feel UNSTOPPABLE.

God saved me through this journey….physically & spiritually 🙂

I have maintained my weight for all of these years by trusting in God first and then believing in myself enough not to quit. The number on the scale no longer has control over me. I workout daily, eat clean and read the word. You can do this, I promise you that with God on your side…you can do all things!

Challenging yourself is important for mental growth, crushing goals will give you a sense of power, and quoting scriptures while doing so gets you fit to fight the battles you face against the devil himself.

SO I AM CHALLENGING YOU THIS WEEK TO MAKE A CHANGE!!

Here is a “Clean eating” food list to get you started!

both now and forevermore.

We are all Precious in his sight…..

Shaking Hands, Handshake, Teamwork, Staff, Team, Board

I am deeply saddened by all of the awful things going on around us today, my heart breaks, as I sit and read about so much hate. Satan is on the prowl and he is devouring those amongst us creating the world we live in today.

I believe with everything that I have within me that Jesus is coming back soon. I feel it in my spirit and I know that most of you all do as well. We have to bind together as Christians and speak boldly against what is happening to our brothers and sisters around us!

We all bleed the same, we are all loved by the same God and we are all just trying to finish the race.

There is no competition with our Lord!

He made us ALL in his image (Genesis 1:27)

Red, yellow, black and white, we are all precious in his sight! (Isaiah 43:4)

1 John 4:20 (NIV)

20 Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, can not love God, whom they have not seen.

It simply explains in this scripture that you can not claim to love God and hate your brothers and sisters. We are all brothers and sisters according to God’s word. (Matthew 12:48-50)

We have power and authority given by God himself to pray bold powerful prayers against any of the schemes or attacks from satan. (Luke 10:19)

It is time for Christians to “STAND UP” and confront the real enemy here. We are not fighting against flesh and blood but against evil spirits!! (Ephesians 6:12)

Hate makes my blood boil! Hate is even considered a bad word in my household. I strive each and every day to teach my children to LOVE everyone.

I do not care what color your skin is, I do not care what you have done or where you have been,  I do not care what kind of lifestyle you have chosen to live or what your religious views may be. God loves you for WHO YOU ARE and SO DO I!

We are all one RACE, the HUMAN RACE

We are called to love one another just as God has loved us.(John 13:34)

We are not to hate!  We are called to LOVE!!!

DID YOU KNOW THAT LOVE COVERS A MULTITUDE OF SIN??

1 Peter 4:8 (NIV)

Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.

1 John 4:7-10(NIV)

Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. 10 This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

~LOVE IS THE ANSWER~

Love is the answer to this problem. Love conquers all. Love is God.

God is love.

Love one another. Love all of God’s creatures and creation. Love is powerful. Love is unconditional. Love is everything……

I refuse to hate….

Will you be bold enough to join me today in prayer for our nation?

WE are all precious in his sight. (FREE PRINTABLE SCRIPTURES)

“50” lifestyle changes for a better YOU….

A Time for Everything: Changes are often necessary.

Ecclesiastes 3:1(NIV)

There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:

I know that many of us struggle each and every day with making healthier lifestyle choices. Sometimes everything is due to being so busy and stressed out with life in general. Other times it may be because of circumstances that we are in that has determined our choices.

NONE THE LESS EVERY DAY IS A STRUGGLE!

We need to make small changes to be prepared for the season that we are being brought into. With these simple lifestyle changes, you will be on your way to happy and healthy living.

CHANGES LEAD TO GROWTH!!!!

Below I have come up with “50” lifestyle changes that could help steer you in the right direction towards a better” YOU!” Write them down and apply them to your life today.

1. Wake up every day with Jesus.

~Instead of checking social media every morning once you roll out of bed, roll over and read a daily devotional of your choice. There are many apps that you can use. I use the crosswalk app each and every morning.

2. Do not skip breakfast.

I am a lover of coffee, but indulging in just a cup or two of coffee does not give you the necessary fuel you need to get you through your day. You need to have a sensible breakfast to boost your metabolism. Oatmeal is a great source of fiber, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. If you do not like oatmeal, smoothies, protein shakes, eggs, toast and peanut butter, and fresh fruit are all great options as well. Just make time to eat something 🙂

3. Grab snacks for the day.

These snacks can be quick go-to power packs to help reduce hunger and prevent you from being “hangry.” You can make snack bags the night before and place them in your purse, briefcase, duffle bag, tote, or even place them in your car. I absolutely love almonds, peanuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, clementines, apples, almond butter and peanut butter. When you are hungry you feel depleted of energy and mind power. So get to making those snack bags and thank me later!

4. Say a prayer before walking out the door.

The morning rush can get you off course and full of distractions. If you take a few short minutes to say a prayer you can change your whole outlook on your day. We all have something to be thankful for!!!

5. Drink more water.

We have all heard this a million times, but truly this is something I live by. I have noticed a major change in my body and skin due to giving up soda pop of all kinds almost 7 years ago. I drink coffee, unsweetened green tea, unsweetened black tea and loads and loads of water every day.

6. Take vitamins.

I have a daily routine of getting up every morning and taking my vitamins and supplements. Now what I take may not work for you and of course, some will need to be approved by your doctor. But every person needs at-least a multivitamin. I take Flinstone complete vitamins. All jokes aside this vitamin is not made just for children. I assure you that your hair and nails will be so much healthier by taking these vitamins. I am b12 deficient and my body does not absorb b12 on its own so I take b12 by injection weekly, given by myself and I also take it orally.  I also take magnesium, fish oil, vitamin E, Evening primrose oil, folic acid, and calcium. But like I said, my routine may not work for you. You can research each of these supplements and talk with your doctor before consuming any of them.

7. Smile more.

I  know that this one may seem simple, but in all reality, we all need to smile more. Joy is something that shines through you! Putting a smile on your face even duting tough times shows that you have chosen joy. It proves to yourself and others that you lean on God for everything.

8. Be kind.

Plain and simple…be kind. We all have struggles and short comings! You may never truly know what someone else is going through and why they make have reacted to something the way they did. Take a few moments to think before you say something, do something or react to something. Choose kindness every time 🙂

9. Take 5-10 minutes a day to refresh your mind.

Step away from your desk, your co-workers, your kids, your husband, and/or your work area and re-group. Tension, stress, and worry can really get you down mentally and physically. Take a few minutes to relax and give yourself some time to focus.

10. Practice gratitude.

Practice being grateful for even the small things in your life. Even the small things have a purpose.

11. Laugh often.

Laughter is the best medicine and you can actually burn calories just by laughing. I love to laugh and be around anyone and everyone that can make me laugh.

12. Exercise.

You need to stay active! Exercise is a mental stress reliever for me. I run every day and during that time I clear my mind of everything that is holding me down or hindering me. There are so many activities for all ages to get involved in. Do what you are capable of doing to the best of your ability. Every activity even if it is a 10-minute walk every day will lead you to a healthier lifestyle.

13. DO something nice for someone else every day.

Simple acts of kindness have so many positive effects. You can do something as small as hold the door open for a stranger, let someone out in traffic, compliment someone, or buy a stranger in the coffee line a coffee. Every kind act matters.

14. Read the bible on your lunch break.

Reading God’s word is so very important! If it you only read one scripture a day, that is progress made. You can even write a scripture on a post-it note and place it where you can see it. That way the word is always near.

15. Stop wishing your life away.

We have all done this sometime in our lives. We wish we would be chosen for that promotion, we wish we had a different job, we wish for upcoming events such as vacations and so on. The key to growth is loving where you are now and loving the season you are in. You are being prepared for something greater, but God needs you embrace where you are now. Then you will be ready when something greater comes along.

16. Let go of the need to be perfect.

Man oh man this is a tough one! We all have some kind of sense about us that makes our minds go crazy if something does not work out perfectly. The thing is the only perfect person was Jesus, we all fall short. Things will work out according to God’s plans for us, not how we may want them to work out.

17. Challenge yourself each day.

It is healthy to challenge yourself each day. Try something new, think outside of the box, and learn something out of the ordinary. My daughter and I recently started taking ASL lessons (American sign language) it is has been challenging and exciting!

18. Let go of the past.

Let go of the “what if’s” and the coulda, shoulda….blah blah blah…The past is in the past. You need to focus your mind on where you are going, not where you have been. Jeremiah 29:11 reassures us of the plans God has for us.

19. Do more things that you love.

Take a dancing class…go skydiving…..take a cooking class…read a book…..go for a hike….just do something you LOVE!!!

20. Learn to say NO!

You need to say no sometimes, stop people pleasing and become a God pleaser!!!

21. Dream and dream big!

You do not want to disappoint the little girl that is still inside of you! Chase those dreams….follow your heart….and never give up on yourself!

22. Take a social media break once a week.

Sometimes you need to simply take a step back from social media in order to re-group. We tend to get sucked into things that are going on around us and those things can negatively impact your day.

23. Listen more, speak less.

This is one of my favorites! I think as you become a mature adult you learn that this is a very important quality. Listen and engage intently with others.

24. Get plenty of sleep.

I know this is a no-brainer, but some still need to be reminded how important sleep is. The house can be cleaned up tomorrow and your laundry can be put away the next day too. Do not overwhelm yourself with so much to do in one day. There is only so much time in a day…rest is important!

25. Keep a journal.

Write and write some more. Writing is a beautiful release for me…I have to write in order to stay sane..for real lol. Write things you feel, things you see and write down things you want to do.

26. Stop beating yourself up.

Stop putting yourself down and living a shameful life! You were created for so much more! Who cares what people may think about you or say about you! You are not your mistakes!!! You are a child of God and he loves you for you!!

27. Surround yourself with positive people.

We don’t need any negative Nancy’s here! You become like those around you, so pick your friends wisely 🙂

28. Walk with confidence.

Having confidence is not saying that you think you are better than anyone else. Showing confidence says that you know your worth, value, and you believe that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you!

29. Make time for sit down meals.

Life is busy and all things hectic I know this all too well. But it is so important to make time to sit down as a family and engage in needed conversation. You can have a sit-down meal with whoever you choose, just set aside time for it.

30. Make your bed each day.

Making your bed gives you a sense of productivity. It will actually help you get into a better routine each day just by finishing this simple task.

31. Meal plan.

This will save you so much time and money! I started meal planning over 7 years ago and there is no way I could ever go back to my old routine. I meal plan each week ahead. That way I cut down on buying things we don’t eat or need. I usually cook 4-5 days a week depending on our schedules. We tend to eat out on most weekends due to family activities that are planned. Meal planning is such a life saver!

32. Remove sugar from your diet.

I started a low carb lifestyle almost 8 years ago due to being diagnosed with PCOS (Poly-cystic ovarian syndrome) PCOS has so many negative effects on our bodies and it causes women to be overweight. The weight gain is uncontrollable. It was not easy at first getting rid of the sugar, but I promise you that it is so worth it.

33. Spend more time outside.

Go for a walk…soak up some sun….go for a hike….stop and smell the roses….outside

34. Take time to think about a situation before you react to it.

We have all failed with this one. It is easy when you get upset to react with your emotions before you take a step back and assess the situation. Taking time to think before you speak will cause less time spent arguing and apologizing for saying things that you don’t mean.

35. Forgive those that have hurt you.

I know that we are all grown ups here, but holding onto past hurts and grudges will slowly kill you. You need to forgive those that have wronged you, offended you and who have hurt you. Forgive because Christ has forgiven you.

36. Stop worrying about what others think of you.

The only opinion of you that matters is God’s opinion of you. God says you are beautiful, chosen, loved, adored, and made in his image. What better compliment can you get??

37. Stretch each day and unwind.

Stretching is good for the mind, body, and soul. Take a breather and do some yoga!

38. Always be honest.

Honesty is the best policy. Lies cause you to feel shame, guilt and make you feel as if you need to hide. Just be honest and have a clear conscience when you lay down at night.

39. Be your silly unique self.

Stop pretending to be someone that you are not. That is exhausting!!! Be who God created YOU to be. That means do what you like, wear what you like, and embrace the beautiful side of yourself. There is nothing more beautiful other than authenticity 🙂

40. Take a bath and read a book.

Take time to relax and rejuvenate your mind, body, and soul. Skip the shower and fill up the tub! Grab your favorite book and travel into the world of the unknown.

41. Set goals each month.

Make a list of goals, set them each month and then go crush them!!!

42. Dance like nobody’s watching.

Dance in your house while you are cleaning, grab a kid and take a twirl, dance in the rain with your husband, or even do the twist with your grandma! Just dance and live free!!

43. Enjoy ALONE time.

I know that this is sometimes easier said than done, but you need a few minutes of alone time each day. I don’t care if it is 10 minutes, make time for you. Read a devotional, study a chapter in the bible, draw, paint, or go inside your closet and eat your kid’s candy lol…just do something for you!

44. Believe in yourself.

Today start believing in your self!! You can do all things!!

45. Take the high road.

Instead of lashing out at the person that cut you off in traffic, decide to take the high road and say a small prayer for them instead. You have no idea what that person may be going through.

46. Pray together as a couple or a family.

Take time to pray together it will draw each of you closer to God and to each other.

47. Give yourself pep talks.

In this case, you can talk to yourself. Quote scriptures over yourself to remove fear, worry, stress, anxiety, and anything that tries to bring you down.

48. Roll the windows down, turn up the music and sing to the top of your lungs.

Enjoy each day and enjoy making memories. My kids love when I do this! We are carefree and like to have fun.

49. Forgive yourself.

Stop listening to what the devil is saying to you! Move on from the mistakes that you have made and forgive yourself. Let go and stop hindering your blessings!! God has you in the palm of his hands and he wants you to live an abundant life. He can’t move in your life if you are holding onto bad choices that you have made.

50. Soak in God’s presence.

Turn on some worship music and listen to God whisper sweet promises to you 🙂

Train up a child: Monkey SEE, Monkey DO….

PARENTS ARE CALLED TO TEACH THEIR CHILDREN THE WAY OF THE LORD…….

2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NIV)

16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God[a]may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Image may contain: one or more people, people standing, child, tree, outdoor and nature ~It is our duty as parents to teach our children about God. It is not their children’s Pastors job, nor their Sunday school teachers job.  The word of the Lord should be taught to them from your mouth, brought to life by your actions, and used as a way to guide them throughout their life.

Have you ever heard the phrase, Monkey see, Monkey Do?

If your children “see” you praying, reading your bible, studying the word, lifting your hands in honor of worshipping God, soaking in his presence, and simply being obedient to God’s word, then they will be prone to mimic what they see. In return, they will “do” as they see.

Your children are a bi-product of you, so what kind of example are you setting?

As a child, I was raised in a Christian home. I still remember like it was yesterday watching my Dad read God’s word. I would always go to him for all of my questions biblically related. I have been fascinated by God’s word every since I was a little girl. I actually first asked Jesus into my heart at the ripe ole’ age of 4.

I later at 14 -years old rededicated my life to Christ and asked him into my heart again due to not remembering if I said the prayer myself at 4 -years old. My Dad would always be sitting in his recliner studying God’s word and he would pray the most passionate prayers to God. It makes me emotional every time I hear him pray.

So by watching my Dad read the word, study the word, and pray passionate prayers, it made me want to know more about this guy named Jesus.

Like my Dad, my Mom also had a huge impact on my life and walk with Christ. My mom is very compassionate with a heart of pure gold. She would do anything for anybody! She also taught classes, was the director of our choir when I was younger, and I remember her praying. When she used to sing to me growing up the lullaby was “Jesus paid it all.” I can close my eyes and hum that song and I am immediately brought back to my childhood. She taught me how to be the wife and mother that I am today.

So by watching my mom teach, show compassion, pray and sing God’s word, and be a Godly wife & mother….I too have grown to love and apply all of those things into my own life.

Your children watch every move you make, don’t you want to train them up in the ways of the Lord?

Proverbs 22:6(NIV)

Start children off on the way they should go,
and even when they are old they will not turn from it.

The word of the Lord found in the Holy Bible is the only source that you need in order to “train your children.” There is no other book out there that will steer them or you in the right direction other than the bible. You have to seek the Lord in all that you do.

I am not saying that parenting is easy and that you will not make mistakes because you will. Your children also need to see you fail. Yes, you read that right. Your children need to see you lean on God for everything. They need to see you pray for guidance!!

If they think that your life is perfect, then when they make a mistake, they will not feel comfortable coming to you, because you may put on the facade that you have your life altogether. You need to be vulnerable, open and honest with your children.

They need to see you applying God’s word to your own life!

We all make MISTAKES!!!!!!!!

Our children need to be taught forgiveness, grace, mercy and God’s unconditional love. Then when a mistake is made, they can come to you and you will both pray about it together. You have to open your heart up to your children and begin to listen to their voice because quite often God will speak to you through them.

WHOA>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> SO MUCH TRUTH!!!

My husband and I have had the beautiful honor of baptizing both of our children. Though we are not perfect by any means, we strive very hard to train our children for a life spent with Jesus. In the end that is the ultimate goal, to see our children saved, honoring God and walking in the calling that God has placed on their life. We have a job as parents to do the best that we can do with God’s guidance. We will fail, we will not always make the right decisions, but God knows our hearts and our desires to please him.

The best way to teach your children is by your example:

Are you living up to your own GODLY POTENTIAL?

YOUR CHILDREN ARE WATCHING…...you…..

It’s ALL ABOUT....MONKEY SEE….MONKEY DO…..

BE BLESSED!!!!!

“15 ” scriptures to pray over yourself daily: Healing mind, body, and soul..

I know that I am not alone when I say that we all need prayers. The devil is wrecking havoc on all of us some how. Many families are facing storms that are set out to destroy them. After all, that is what the devil wants!

John 10:10(NIV)

10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

1 Peter 5:8(NIV)

Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

The devil will start by attacking our minds, which leads to harmful effects on our bodies and last but not least he will slowly damage our beautiful souls.

That is his ultimate goal anyway….

If he can get you so stressed out with worry and tension that you begin to have health issues such as headaches, panic attacks, high blood pressure, depression, gastrointestinal problems, heart palpitations, ulcers, acid reflux, and anxiety; the stress is taking a toll on your body.

It is like a domino effect. Once your mind is filled with negative thoughts about yourself and others, you are right where the devil wants you to be. You are falling apart physically and growing wearier by the day. It is so hard to remove those thoughts out of your head ON YOUR OWN!!!!

Then you begin to question God. Your soul is being sucked right into the chaos. You were once the first one at church every time the doors were opened. Now you come a few times a month if that. The thought of actually saying a prayer hasn’t even crossed your mind. You are drowning in your own pain and you want someone to throw you an anchor, but you feel lost…..sad and alone.

AM I TALKING TO YOU???

I have found out that the only solution in order to heal your mind, body, and soul from the attacks from satan is to read God’s word daily, use his written word found only in the Holy Bible to cleanse you, and then pray the written word over yourself.

You have to take the time to feed yourself spiritually just as you do physically.

2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

YOUR MIND HAS TO BE TRANSFORMED WITH A GODLY VIEW ON THINGS AND NOT A WORLDLY VIEW. THROUGH GOD THIS IS POSSIBLE!

~Matthew 21:22(NIV)

LAST BUT NOT LEAST——–> IF YOU SIMPLY BELIEVE IN WHAT YOU ARE PRAYING ABOUT, GOD WILL ANSWER YOUR PRAYERS!! HE IS ALWAYS FAITHFUL!!!

I pray many blessings over each and every one of you all. May God heal your mind, body, and soul from any form of altering attacks upon you.

They are in your hands: “10” scriptures to pray over your children.

I know that my children are not my own. I have had so many puzzled looks when I have said those words aloud in public. To some, they may think that it was only by their own will that they have children, but I know the truth. My children are not my own, they were a precious gift given to my husband and I, from God.

James 1:17~

17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

My two precious miracle babies are now about to head to 7th grade and 3rd grade. With summer coming to an end and school approaching, we need to be praying scriptures over our kiddos to provide protection over them for their upcoming school year along with the wisdom and knowledge needed for them to succeed.

School time often means that our schedules will get chaotic! We are tossed around here and there and sometimes we put God on the backburner. It is sad, but true in many cases. New routines are made with all new agendas for the school year ahead. So in order for us to stay focused and prepared for all of the stress that comes with the new school year, I have written below “10” scriptures to pray over your children. These scriptures will not only help equip our kids for a wonderful year ahead but we parents will also benefit from speaking them.
