I am deeply saddened by all of the awful things going on around us today, my heart breaks, as I sit and read about so much hate. Satan is on the prowl and he is devouring those amongst us creating the world we live in today.
I believe with everything that I have within me that Jesus is coming back soon. I feel it in my spirit and I know that most of you all do as well. We have to bind together as Christians and speak boldly against what is happening to our brothers and sisters around us!
We all bleed the same, we are all loved by the same God and we are all just trying to finish the race.
There is no competition with our Lord!
He made us ALL in his image (Genesis 1:27)
Red, yellow, black and white, we are all precious in his sight! (Isaiah 43:4)
20 Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, can not love God, whom they have not seen.
It simply explains in this scripture that you can not claim to love God and hate your brothers and sisters. We are all brothers and sisters according to God’s word. (Matthew 12:48-50)
We have power and authority given by God himself to pray bold powerful prayers against any of the schemes or attacks from satan. (Luke 10:19)
It is time for Christians to “STAND UP” and confront the real enemy here. We are not fighting against flesh and blood but against evil spirits!! (Ephesians 6:12)
Hate makes my blood boil! Hate is even considered a bad word in my household. I strive each and every day to teach my children to LOVE everyone.
I do not care what color your skin is, I do not care what you have done or where you have been, I do not care what kind of lifestyle you have chosen to live or what your religious views may be. God loves you for WHO YOU ARE and SO DO I!
We are all one RACE, the HUMAN RACE!
We are called to love one another just as God has loved us.(John 13:34)

I know that many of us struggle each and every day with making healthier lifestyle choices. Sometimes everything is due to being so busy and stressed out with life in general. Other times it may be because of circumstances that we are in that has determined our choices.
NONE THE LESS EVERY DAY IS A STRUGGLE!
We need to make small changes to be prepared for the season that we are being brought into. With these simple lifestyle changes, you will be on your way to happy and healthy living.
CHANGES LEAD TO GROWTH!!!!
Below I have come up with “50” lifestyle changes that could help steer you in the right direction towards a better” YOU!” Write them down and apply them to your life today.
1. Wake up every day with Jesus.
~Instead of checking social media every morning once you roll out of bed, roll over and read a daily devotional of your choice. There are many apps that you can use. I use the crosswalk app each and every morning.
2. Do not skip breakfast.
I am a lover of coffee, but indulging in just a cup or two of coffee does not give you the necessary fuel you need to get you through your day. You need to have a sensible breakfast to boost your metabolism. Oatmeal is a great source of fiber, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. If you do not like oatmeal, smoothies, protein shakes, eggs, toast and peanut butter, and fresh fruit are all great options as well. Just make time to eat something 🙂
3. Grab snacks for the day.
These snacks can be quick go-to power packs to help reduce hunger and prevent you from being “hangry.” You can make snack bags the night before and place them in your purse, briefcase, duffle bag, tote, or even place them in your car. I absolutely love almonds, peanuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, clementines, apples, almond butter and peanut butter. When you are hungry you feel depleted of energy and mind power. So get to making those snack bags and thank me later!
4. Say a prayer before walking out the door.
The morning rush can get you off course and full of distractions. If you take a few short minutes to say a prayer you can change your whole outlook on your day. We all have something to be thankful for!!!
5. Drink more water.
We have all heard this a million times, but truly this is something I live by. I have noticed a major change in my body and skin due to giving up soda pop of all kinds almost 7 years ago. I drink coffee, unsweetened green tea, unsweetened black tea and loads and loads of water every day.
6. Take vitamins.
I have a daily routine of getting up every morning and taking my vitamins and supplements. Now what I take may not work for you and of course, some will need to be approved by your doctor. But every person needs at-least a multivitamin. I take Flinstone complete vitamins. All jokes aside this vitamin is not made just for children. I assure you that your hair and nails will be so much healthier by taking these vitamins. I am b12 deficient and my body does not absorb b12 on its own so I take b12 by injection weekly, given by myself and I also take it orally. I also take magnesium, fish oil, vitamin E, Evening primrose oil, folic acid, and calcium. But like I said, my routine may not work for you. You can research each of these supplements and talk with your doctor before consuming any of them.
7. Smile more.
I know that this one may seem simple, but in all reality, we all need to smile more. Joy is something that shines through you! Putting a smile on your face even duting tough times shows that you have chosen joy. It proves to yourself and others that you lean on God for everything.
8. Be kind.
Plain and simple…be kind. We all have struggles and short comings! You may never truly know what someone else is going through and why they make have reacted to something the way they did. Take a few moments to think before you say something, do something or react to something. Choose kindness every time 🙂
9. Take 5-10 minutes a day to refresh your mind.
Step away from your desk, your co-workers, your kids, your husband, and/or your work area and re-group. Tension, stress, and worry can really get you down mentally and physically. Take a few minutes to relax and give yourself some time to focus.
10. Practice gratitude.
Practice being grateful for even the small things in your life. Even the small things have a purpose.
11. Laugh often.
Laughter is the best medicine and you can actually burn calories just by laughing. I love to laugh and be around anyone and everyone that can make me laugh.
You need to stay active! Exercise is a mental stress reliever for me. I run every day and during that time I clear my mind of everything that is holding me down or hindering me. There are so many activities for all ages to get involved in. Do what you are capable of doing to the best of your ability. Every activity even if it is a 10-minute walk every day will lead you to a healthier lifestyle.
13. DO something nice for someone else every day.
Simple acts of kindness have so many positive effects. You can do something as small as hold the door open for a stranger, let someone out in traffic, compliment someone, or buy a stranger in the coffee line a coffee. Every kind act matters.
14. Read the bible on your lunch break.
Reading God’s word is so very important! If it you only read one scripture a day, that is progress made. You can even write a scripture on a post-it note and place it where you can see it. That way the word is always near.
15. Stop wishing your life away.
We have all done this sometime in our lives. We wish we would be chosen for that promotion, we wish we had a different job, we wish for upcoming events such as vacations and so on. The key to growth is loving where you are now and loving the season you are in. You are being prepared for something greater, but God needs you embrace where you are now. Then you will be ready when something greater comes along.
16. Let go of the need to be perfect.
Man oh man this is a tough one! We all have some kind of sense about us that makes our minds go crazy if something does not work out perfectly. The thing is the only perfect person was Jesus, we all fall short. Things will work out according to God’s plans for us, not how we may want them to work out.
17. Challenge yourself each day.
It is healthy to challenge yourself each day. Try something new, think outside of the box, and learn something out of the ordinary. My daughter and I recently started taking ASL lessons (American sign language) it is has been challenging and exciting!
18. Let go of the past.
Let go of the “what if’s” and the coulda, shoulda….blah blah blah…The past is in the past. You need to focus your mind on where you are going, not where you have been. Jeremiah 29:11 reassures us of the plans God has for us.
19. Do more things that you love.
Take a dancing class…go skydiving…..take a cooking class…read a book…..go for a hike….just do something you LOVE!!!
20. Learn to say NO!
You need to say no sometimes, stop people pleasing and become a God pleaser!!!
21. Dream and dream big!
You do not want to disappoint the little girl that is still inside of you! Chase those dreams….follow your heart….and never give up on yourself!
22. Take a social media break once a week.
Sometimes you need to simply take a step back from social media in order to re-group. We tend to get sucked into things that are going on around us and those things can negatively impact your day.
23. Listen more, speak less.
This is one of my favorites! I think as you become a mature adult you learn that this is a very important quality. Listen and engage intently with others.
24. Get plenty of sleep.
I know this is a no-brainer, but some still need to be reminded how important sleep is. The house can be cleaned up tomorrow and your laundry can be put away the next day too. Do not overwhelm yourself with so much to do in one day. There is only so much time in a day…rest is important!
25. Keep a journal.
Write and write some more. Writing is a beautiful release for me…I have to write in order to stay sane..for real lol. Write things you feel, things you see and write down things you want to do.
26. Stop beating yourself up.
Stop putting yourself down and living a shameful life! You were created for so much more! Who cares what people may think about you or say about you! You are not your mistakes!!! You are a child of God and he loves you for you!!
27. Surround yourself with positive people.
We don’t need any negative Nancy’s here! You become like those around you, so pick your friends wisely 🙂
28. Walk with confidence.
Having confidence is not saying that you think you are better than anyone else. Showing confidence says that you know your worth, value, and you believe that you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you!
29. Make time for sit down meals.
Life is busy and all things hectic I know this all too well. But it is so important to make time to sit down as a family and engage in needed conversation. You can have a sit-down meal with whoever you choose, just set aside time for it.
30. Make your bed each day.
Making your bed gives you a sense of productivity. It will actually help you get into a better routine each day just by finishing this simple task.
31. Meal plan.
This will save you so much time and money! I started meal planning over 7 years ago and there is no way I could ever go back to my old routine. I meal plan each week ahead. That way I cut down on buying things we don’t eat or need. I usually cook 4-5 days a week depending on our schedules. We tend to eat out on most weekends due to family activities that are planned. Meal planning is such a life saver!
32. Remove sugar from your diet.
I started a low carb lifestyle almost 8 years ago due to being diagnosed with PCOS (Poly-cystic ovarian syndrome) PCOS has so many negative effects on our bodies and it causes women to be overweight. The weight gain is uncontrollable. It was not easy at first getting rid of the sugar, but I promise you that it is so worth it.
33. Spend more time outside.
Go for a walk…soak up some sun….go for a hike….stop and smell the roses….outside
34. Take time to think about a situation before you react to it.
We have all failed with this one. It is easy when you get upset to react with your emotions before you take a step back and assess the situation. Taking time to think before you speak will cause less time spent arguing and apologizing for saying things that you don’t mean.
35. Forgive those that have hurt you.
I know that we are all grown ups here, but holding onto past hurts and grudges will slowly kill you. You need to forgive those that have wronged you, offended you and who have hurt you. Forgive because Christ has forgiven you.
36. Stop worrying about what others think of you.
The only opinion of you that matters is God’s opinion of you. God says you are beautiful, chosen, loved, adored, and made in his image. What better compliment can you get??
37. Stretch each day and unwind.
Stretching is good for the mind, body, and soul. Take a breather and do some yoga!
38. Always be honest.
Honesty is the best policy. Lies cause you to feel shame, guilt and make you feel as if you need to hide. Just be honest and have a clear conscience when you lay down at night.
39. Be your silly unique self.
Stop pretending to be someone that you are not. That is exhausting!!! Be who God created YOU to be. That means do what you like, wear what you like, and embrace the beautiful side of yourself. There is nothing more beautiful other than authenticity 🙂
40. Take a bath and read a book.
Take time to relax and rejuvenate your mind, body, and soul. Skip the shower and fill up the tub! Grab your favorite book and travel into the world of the unknown.
41. Set goals each month.
Make a list of goals, set them each month and then go crush them!!!
42. Dance like nobody’s watching.
Dance in your house while you are cleaning, grab a kid and take a twirl, dance in the rain with your husband, or even do the twist with your grandma! Just dance and live free!!
43. Enjoy ALONE time.
I know that this is sometimes easier said than done, but you need a few minutes of alone time each day. I don’t care if it is 10 minutes, make time for you. Read a devotional, study a chapter in the bible, draw, paint, or go inside your closet and eat your kid’s candy lol…just do something for you!
44. Believe in yourself.
Today start believing in your self!! You can do all things!!
45. Take the high road.
Instead of lashing out at the person that cut you off in traffic, decide to take the high road and say a small prayer for them instead. You have no idea what that person may be going through.
46. Pray together as a couple or a family.
Take time to pray together it will draw each of you closer to God and to each other.
47. Give yourself pep talks.
In this case, you can talk to yourself. Quote scriptures over yourself to remove fear, worry, stress, anxiety, and anything that tries to bring you down.
48. Roll the windows down, turn up the music and sing to the top of your lungs.
Enjoy each day and enjoy making memories. My kids love when I do this! We are carefree and like to have fun.
49. Forgive yourself.
Stop listening to what the devil is saying to you! Move on from the mistakes that you have made and forgive yourself. Let go and stop hindering your blessings!! God has you in the palm of his hands and he wants you to live an abundant life. He can’t move in your life if you are holding onto bad choices that you have made.
50. Soak in God’s presence.
Turn on some worship music and listen to God whisper sweet promises to you 🙂

Have you ever heard the phrase, Monkey see, Monkey Do?
If your children “see” you praying, reading your bible, studying the word, lifting your hands in honor of worshipping God, soaking in his presence, and simply being obedient to God’s word, then they will be prone to mimic what they see. In return, they will “do” as they see.
Your children are a bi-product of you, so what kind of example are you setting?
As a child, I was raised in a Christian home. I still remember like it was yesterday watching my Dad read God’s word. I would always go to him for all of my questions biblically related. I have been fascinated by God’s word every since I was a little girl. I actually first asked Jesus into my heart at the ripe ole’ age of 4.
I later at 14 -years old rededicated my life to Christ and asked him into my heart again due to not remembering if I said the prayer myself at 4 -years old. My Dad would always be sitting in his recliner studying God’s word and he would pray the most passionate prayers to God. It makes me emotional every time I hear him pray.
So by watching my Dad read the word, study the word, and pray passionate prayers, it made me want to know more about this guy named Jesus.
Like my Dad, my Mom also had a huge impact on my life and walk with Christ. My mom is very compassionate with a heart of pure gold. She would do anything for anybody! She also taught classes, was the director of our choir when I was younger, and I remember her praying. When she used to sing to me growing up the lullaby was “Jesus paid it all.” I can close my eyes and hum that song and I am immediately brought back to my childhood. She taught me how to be the wife and mother that I am today.
So by watching my mom teach, show compassion, pray and sing God’s word, and be a Godly wife & mother….I too have grown to love and apply all of those things into my own life.
6 Start children off on the way they should go,
and even when they are old they will not turn from it.
The word of the Lord found in the Holy Bible is the only source that you need in order to “train your children.” There is no other book out there that will steer them or you in the right direction other than the bible. You have to seek the Lord in all that you do.
I am not saying that parenting is easy and that you will not make mistakes because you will. Your children also need to see you fail. Yes, you read that right. Your children need to see you lean on God for everything. They need to see you pray for guidance!!
If they think that your life is perfect, then when they make a mistake, they will not feel comfortable coming to you, because you may put on the facade that you have your life altogether. You need to be vulnerable, open and honest with your children.
They need to see you applying God’s word to your own life!
We all make MISTAKES!!!!!!!!
Our children need to be taught forgiveness, grace, mercy and God’s unconditional love. Then when a mistake is made, they can come to you and you will both pray about it together. You have to open your heart up to your children and begin to listen to their voice because quite often God will speak to you through them.

My husband and I have had the beautiful honor of baptizing both of our children. Though we are not perfect by any means, we strive very hard to train our children for a life spent with Jesus. In the end that is the ultimate goal, to see our children saved, honoring God and walking in the calling that God has placed on their life. We have a job as parents to do the best that we can do with God’s guidance. We will fail, we will not always make the right decisions, but God knows our hearts and our desires to please him.
The best way to teach your children is by your example:

I know that I am not alone when I say that we all need prayers. The devil is wrecking havoc on all of us some how. Many families are facing storms that are set out to destroy them. After all, that is what the devil wants!
10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.
The devil will start by attacking our minds, which leads to harmful effects on our bodies and last but not least he will slowly damage our beautiful souls.
That is his ultimate goal anyway….
If he can get you so stressed out with worry and tension that you begin to have health issues such as headaches, panic attacks, high blood pressure, depression, gastrointestinal problems, heart palpitations, ulcers, acid reflux, and anxiety; the stress is taking a toll on your body.
It is like a domino effect. Once your mind is filled with negative thoughts about yourself and others, you are right where the devil wants you to be. You are falling apart physically and growing wearier by the day. It is so hard to remove those thoughts out of your head ON YOUR OWN!!!!
Then you begin to question God. Your soul is being sucked right into the chaos. You were once the first one at church every time the doors were opened. Now you come a few times a month if that. The thought of actually saying a prayer hasn’t even crossed your mind. You are drowning in your own pain and you want someone to throw you an anchor, but you feel lost…..sad and alone.
AM I TALKING TO YOU???
I have found out that the only solution in order to heal your mind, body, and soul from the attacks from satan is to read God’s word daily, use his written word found only in the Holy Bible to cleanse you, and then pray the written word over yourself.
You have to take the time to feed yourself spiritually just as you do physically.

I pray many blessings over each and every one of you all. May God heal your mind, body, and soul from any form of altering attacks upon you.
I know that my children are not my own. I have had so many puzzled looks when I have said those words aloud in public. To some, they may think that it was only by their own will that they have children, but I know the truth. My children are not my own, they were a precious gift given to my husband and I, from God.
17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
My two precious miracle babies are now about to head to 7th grade and 3rd grade. With summer coming to an end and school approaching, we need to be praying scriptures over our kiddos to provide protection over them for their upcoming school year along with the wisdom and knowledge needed for them to succeed.
School time often means that our schedules will get chaotic! We are tossed around here and there and sometimes we put God on the backburner. It is sad, but true in many cases. New routines are made with all new agendas for the school year ahead. So in order for us to stay focused and prepared for all of the stress that comes with the new school year, I have written below “10” scriptures to pray over your children. These scriptures will not only help equip our kids for a wonderful year ahead but we parents will also benefit from speaking them.

I PRAY THAT GOD WILL GIVE THEM THE STRENGTH THEY NEED IN ORDER TO SUCCEED AND TO BELIEVE IN THEMSELVES

DO YOU AGREE THAT WE ALL NEED TO STAND ON THE PROMISES OF GOD TO GET US THROUGH TOUGH TIMES?
I think that it is so important for us to memorize scriptures and especially the promises given to us from God. You never know when some kind of tragedy will strike and you need the weapon of biblical scriptures to speak over yourself and others in those moments.
God whispers those promises to us, we need only to listen.
I have recently had four surgeries in one year. Yes, you read that correctly, four and two of which were emergency surgeries. I am otherwise very healthy, I eat clean and I work out every single day, and I am only 33 -years old. But things happen that are out of our control and let me tell you, all of this was completely out of my control.
April 1, 2016, I had a partial hysterectomy due to having a uterine polyp, uterine tumor, severe endometriosis and suffered many years with PCOS (POLY-CYSTIC OVARIAN SYNDROME)
By partial hysterectomy, I mean that everything was removed except for my ovaries. I had everything removed laparoscopically, also known as LAVH (Laparoscopic Assisted Vaginal Hysterectomy)
I wanted to keep my ovaries for two important reasons.
1-I am only 33-years old and ovaries give you your “sex hormones”, estrogen and progesterone. NEED I SAY MORE???
2-I have a family history of breast cancer and the thought of having to take any kind of hormone pill scared the daylights out of me.
After surgery, everything went great! This is me in the picture above, all smiles 🙂 I went home after spending the night in the hospital. Other than being very swollen with “swelly belly” and being slightly sore, I thought this may be a piece of cake.
For the first two weeks after surgery, I slept a whole lot and honestly had no motivation to do anything else. I physically looked about 6 months pregnant and mentally I was frustrated because I am not used to laying around not doing much. I did have a whole army of people helping me including my husband, kids, family, friends, and church family. They were all a God send, for real! I followed every rule to a tee and made sure that I did not over do it.
All I really wanted to do is nap all the time. My energy level was a big fat zero!! Everything was going smoothly until April 19, 2016.
That day started out well, my Mom picked up my kids for school and I went straight back to bed after they had left. My dog and I woke up a few hours later and binged watched “The Walking Dead.” It soon became time to pick up my kids from school and I had felt so well that day that I decided to venture out and get them myself. My dog, Zelda, tagged along as she always did and off we went.
Picking up my kiddos went rather smoothly and it felt amazing to feel the sun beaming on my face through my sun roof and to feel the warm breeze from the wind in my hair. I felt good…really good.
THAT FEELING WAS SHORT LIVED…….
Once I had returned home I immediately went to the restroom because I had held my pee due to being in a very long car line at my kid’s school. To make things very clear, what I am about share may be TMI for some. I will try to spare you the gory details, but to make a long story short, I thought my sensation was caused by me feeling as if I had to pee, but in all actuality, I was hemorrhaging blood and so much so it looked like a murder scene in my bathroom. I immediately screamed for my daughter to find my phone with panic in my voice she knew something was not right with me behind those closed doors.
I frantically called my doctor, my husband, my sister and my mom all in a matter of a few short minutes. I started crying out to God after getting off the phone. I was terrified in this moment and as tears streamed down my face, God spoke so clearly to me. “Keisha, I will never leave you or forsake you, I am here with you now.” (Hebrews 13:5)
A tranquil spirit rushed over me, once again God promised me that I was not alone.
Yes, this was a very traumatic event and I was filled with fear but God was right there in that bathroom with me. He had wrapped his loving arms around me and he was not going to leave me.
I was rushed to the hospital to find that my surgical sutures had broken apart from my vaginal cuff internally along with being pushed out by a blood clot the size of a small basketball. I am not exaggerating on the size. The blood clot actually fell out of me as I was walking and landed at my doctor’s feet before I was examined. It was shocking, to say the least. Every nurse in the hallway gasps with air at the sight of it all.
Fear tried to rear it’s ugly head again and God just kept speaking to me. “Keisha, I have plans for you and those plans are not to harm you.” “You have a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11) I tried my best to focus on everything he was saying. But honestly, I was scared.
I ended up having emergency surgery for a “vaginal cuff repair” and my doctor assured me over and over that he had never seen anything like this before. It seemed that I was always having something bizarre happen to me and I truly did not know just how special I was that everything that happened to me always had to be so rare.
These two surgeries put me being down for 12 weeks. It was rough and a long journey to say the least, but God got me through.
The third surgery was from having a tumor on my right wrist located on my dominate hand. The tumor had caused me to lose function in my hand altogether. My hand would stay numb and I had excruciating pain coursing through my thumb, middle finger leading all the way up to my shoulder. It was terribly frustrating and caused me so much mental distress. I would wake up not knowing if my hand would function that day or not. So off to surgery I went on February 6, 2017.
I had to wear a cast for 6 weeks because the tumor was deeper than expected and my skin had to be pulled tighter to cover the hole that was left from digging the tumor out. I had to teach myself to do everything with my left hand and this was very challenging for me. My mind was flooded with negative thoughts that I would never gain back full function in my right hand.
It seemed as if once again I had reached another setback. Frustration was my new best friend. It was difficult doing everything one handed and always having to ask for help. Truthfully I know that these events are minor to some, but during these times I felt as if I was beaten down. It was one thing after another and I was emotionally and physically tired of it all.
THEN GOD WHISPERED TO ME AGAIN…
“Keisha, I am fighting for you, you only need to be still.” (Exodus 14:14)
I needed to take this time to rest. I needed to focus myself on the positives. I needed to stop and let God do the work..
March 3, 2017, I ended up in the hospital ER once again. I had woken up that morning not feeling well and thought that I might have had an ovarian cyst that had ruptured. I could not walk, the agonizing pain was sharp and made me extremely nauseous. The pain was unreal and I could barely think straight. After trying everything in my power to get dressed, I called my sister and asked her to take me to the nearest urgent care.
BOY WAS THAT A JOKE!
The nurse practitioner basically told me that there was nothing that she could do for me and I was to come home, lay down with a heating pad and take an Advil. Best advice…said no one ever!
I ended up in the ER a few hours later sicker than a dog experiencing the most agonizing pain in the world. So bad in fact I was passing out every few minutes due to the pain. The ER wasn’t any more help. I was sent home with pain meds and no answers to solve my problem.
I followed up that Monday with my OB/GYN who in fact confirmed I had a very large cyst that had ruptured in my left ovary called a hemorrhagic ovarian cyst. I had blood and fluid in my pelvis but this cyst was tricky. The cyst actually caused a blood clot in my right ovary along with another large ovarian cyst. It had somehow dissolved itself into my other ovary causing more problems. It was as I had a ticking time bomb inside of me. It could rupture at any given moment. I had strict orders to immediately get to my OB doctor if I had any signs of pain.
March 16, 2017, After being rushed once more to an ER, poked, paraded and tested, I was diagnosed with Ovarian torsion. Ovarian torsion, which means my ovaries had twisted themselves, causing my blood supply to be cut off. To say this was painful is an understatement. I would have 10 more C-sections compared to having this pain again and that is no joke!
I KNEW AS SOON AS THE DOCTOR CAME IN THAT SURGERY WAS NEEDED….AGAIN….
Once more on March 17, 2017, I was taken back by the very nice surgical staff that all knew me by name. Lots of friendly staff just high fived me and assured me that this time should be the last time that I need to see an OR for a while. I lost both ovaries that day, completely my hysterectomy.
Several felt sorry for me, heck I felt sorry for me. Even though I may be Irish, I did not have the luck of the Irish on my side, or so it had seemed.
But who needed luck, when I had God?!
God spoke to me as I was being wheeled down that ole’ familiar hallway…
“Keisha, remove all of your fear, I am here with you, do not grow weary, I will be your strength.” (Isaiah 41:10)
“Keisha, nothing will prosper against you….no evil…trust in me….” (Isaiah 54:17)
THROUGH ALL OF THESE TRAGIC EVENTS, GOD WAS WHISPERING PROMISES TO ME, I NEEDED ONLY TO LISTEN TO HIM. IF YOU ARE GOING THROUGH A DIFFICULT TIME RIGHT NOW, HOLD ONTO THESE 5 PROMISES FROM GOD “WHEN TRAGEDY STRIKES.”
1. HEBREWS 13:5-Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”
2. JEREMIAH 29:11-For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
3. EXODUS 14:14– The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.”
4. ISAIAH 41:10-So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
5. ISAIAH 54:17-no weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me,” declares the LORD.
As you can see, I am healthy and happy and I made it through each of these tragic events with God on my side. When I felt every emotion possible, God knew exactly what to whisper to me in that dark place and he knows exactly what you need as well.
OPEN YOUR EARS TO HIS WORDS TODAY…
I feel deep within my soul that every person is struggling in some area of their life right now. Sometimes we just need someone else to agree with us in prayer.
I am a firm believer in the POWER of PRAYER!!
MATTHEW 18:19-20 Again, I tell you truly that if two of you on the earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by My Father in heaven. 20For where two or three gather together in My name, there am I with them.”
PRAYER WORKS!!!! DO NOT GIVE UP!!!

I promise you that I will take the time to pray for each and every one of your needs today! You are not alone in your hurt, your pain, your circumstance, your addiction, or any battle that you are fighting…

I dare you to step out of your comfort zone, I dare you to dream and to dream big, I dare you to take a step forward and to not look back. I dare you to look into the mirror today and say that you are unstoppable...I just dare you….
The truth is that we all fail at times when our faith is being tested. I mean who likes “test” anyway? I know that I sure don’t and I assure you that I have failed on far too many occasions.
God is daring you to take that first step and you know all too well that he is calling you out. He has promised you that he would meet you right where you are and help you to take the rest of the steps that are needed in order to get you to where you are going.
Sadly, you are still stuck in the same place…. God is a gentleman and he will not make you do anything that you do not want to do. But I promise you that life will be so much better if you trust and obey him.
I dare you to take that first step!
WHO OR WHAT IS STOPPING YOU???
HEBREWS 11:1-Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
God is so very clearly telling you to step out in faith. You have to be confident that even when you can not see where you are going or how you are even going to get there, GOD IS ALREADY THERE!!! God has it all figured out! You have got to stop looking at everything that could go wrong and simply trust him!
All you have to do is step out——-> I DARE YOU!
The fact is that we are all scared of the unknown. We wrestle with the demons found within. The only thing standing in the way is you! You know that God will never let you down and you know that his way is the best way. He is telling you that you have wings my darling....so go fly!
DARE to be different
DARE to be set apart
DARE to step out
DARE to be unchanged by those around you
DARE to look within yourself to find that you have strength
DARE to trust GOD in all things

When you are broken and you cry out to Jesus sometimes it is hard to discern HIS VOICE through your pain. You may question if he hears you, sees you or if he indeed cares about your situation. Your heart may be shattered into a million tiny pieces and all you need is for Jesus to put you back together, but you feel HOPELESS…
You raise your hands toward the sky with tears streaming down your face in hopes to come “face to face with Jesus.” You want him to wrap his arms around you and whisper in your ear that everything is going to be ok. Sometimes this life is too much to endure all on our own. You cry out in desperation, in frustration you scream…
WHERE ARE YOU JESUS?
You question his presence when you need HIM most. Sometimes you have to wait through the pain all while continuing to cry out in desperation, longing for an answer. Your soul desires the answer only he can give. During this time of waiting you need to dig deep into God’s word, pray without ceasing and never, ever give up!
GOD IS WORKING EVEN WHEN YOU CAN NOT SEE…..
Woman of God your PRAYERS will move mountains and I assure you that they will be answered according to God’s plan and will.
God is working in your heart to break through your own walls in order for you to see His will clearly. You may not see HIS will very clear when your vision is clouded with pain and hopelessness. You may not see the roadblocks that prevent you from understanding his will. You may be broken, but God is the great physician. He is working in your favor defeating every feeling of hopelessness, despair, and brokenness.
He will rescue you, sustain you and make the crooked path you are walking along straight.
GOD IS A PRESENT HELP IN TIME OF NEED!!!!
Psalm 46:1-God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Today, if you are having feelings of HOPLESSNESS, DESPERATION, DESPAIR, OR PAIN; declare this over yourself every day for the next 30 days and all of these feelings will begin to disappear right before your eyes.
I DECLARE an abundance of faith over my life. I DECLARE that my prayers WILL indeed move the mountains in my life and the lives around me. I DECLARE favor over my life. I DECLARE clarity when my vision is being tested about God’s will for my life. I DECLARE the chains of bondage and sin are broken in Jesus name. I DECLARE that I will not be shaken or moved by my circumstance. I DECLARE that I am a daughter of God and no man can stop the destiny Father God has for me. ~I challenge you to take this declaration very seriously. Try to speak this over yourself for 30 days and watch God move in your life like you have never seen before! You have the power and authority to speak life and claim the blessings that God has for you. God does not want you to live a life of defeat! Just do not give up!!!!
